Physical FeaturesOne of the largest dragon species, stormheralds are second only to the windwyrms in size. They have strong builds with heavy, armoured scales covering their bodies. They lack horns and instead have large, frill-like ears and small spikes on their nose, brows and jaw.
They have a single pair of large, bird-like wings. Their feathers are highly durable and have been known to give humans and other soft-skinned creatures ‘paper cuts’ from time to time. When rubbed together their plumage creates small amounts of static electricity, which is absorbed by the stormherald to be used later in the form of lightning. They have dark, red-black blood and sharp teeth resembling that of bears. Colours & PatternsStormheralds are usually black or grey, but may rarely be white, and have colourful accents. Spots, stripes, and other patterns are all relatively common. Their eyes range widely in colour, although are usually brightly coloured.
