Hyleg & the Scions of the SunThe Sundrakes worship Hyleg, the most powerful of the gods, and the sun incarnate. He is sometimes believed to lack a physical form, or literally be the sun, although may at times be depicted as a ‘great golden dragon, with twin-stars for eyes and all aglow with light’. He is the bringer of dawn and devourer of darkness.

JhudsurSpringsingers do not believe in fate or destiny.
They believe that things cannot be created from nothing, and cannot be utterly destroyed. To them, the world always has been, and always will be. Despite their disregard for fate, Springsingers do believe in the powerful deity Jhudsur. Learn more about them here. Carving found in the Upyayi Stronghold, read more about it here. |

The Jhora’ilu
A monstrous creature of legend. Believed to live in the Ilzau Forest, the Jhora’ilu is revered and feared throughout the jungle. It is said to be the reason nobody can make it into the Ilzau Forest and depending on who you ask, can be a feral animal or some kind of malevolent supernatural being. Despite its reputation, ancient carvings of Jhora’ilu from across the jungle portray it in a much more benevolent and gentle nature. Read more about the Jhora’ilu here (link TBA).

The Singing Skies / The Singing Seas
A yearly ‘contest’ between the Southern Shipwreckers and the Springsingers where both parties break out into song for an entire night. The rest of Cyr has taken to singing along, as the only other option is to stay awake all night listening, and the resulting music is so loud that it can be heard faintly across the Gaping Sea. For many generations the people of Theavia believed that it was spirits/ghosts singing, but have since discovered the actual origins of the music.
