General Dragon Information
Dragons in the Realm are sapient and intelligent, and each have their own culture and territories. Some live in kingdoms, others keep barely above anarchy, and still more are some of the most technologically advanced societies in the Realm. They all have different relationships with humans and other dragons.
They age at the same rate as humans until they reach maturity at 20 years old; this is the point where dragons are considered adults. From this moment on, each year they only mature and age at half the amount of humans. They may increase in height by a small amount - a foot or two at most - but generally reach their full size by maturity. The average age is 130 years (equivalent to a 75-year-old human), although it's not unheard of for some to live as long as 175 to 200 years. Dragons remain able to have children between 20 and 60 years of age, after which their fertility drops significantly.
Dragon bodies do deteriorate with age, but it generally doesn't become very noticeable for most until they reach advanced age.
