General Overview
It is winter; snow, ice, and freezing fog from the nearby Serpent Delta will be present in the city and surrounding area. The ground is flat and marshy when not frozen. Strong tides cause the water levels to rise and fall dramatically. Outside of the locations blocked off and labelled like "Discite's Stronghold" and "Riverside", the former city of Fallingstar is abandoned and made up of broken buildings and crumbling ruins.
The Xocrian camp is a mix of tents and small stone farmsteads taken and repurposed to homes for higher-ranking Knights and to store supplies. Most of the fighting between Fallingstar and its attackers is on the Main Road and the other areas between the camp and Discite's Stronghold.

Numbered Locations
1 - the Main Road
The old main street of Fallingstar from its time as a city. No longer inhabited, but peppered with barricades and other defenses and where most of the clashes between the town's defenders and knights have occurred. Anyone passing through the Main Road should expect a fight, no matter what side they are on.
2 - the Garden of Curses
An area of the main road of Fallingstar peppered with memory-stones filled with dark emotions and painful experiences. Crossing through the Garden of Curses is necessary to get deeper into the town and extremely disorienting. The defenders know to avoid this place, but many of the knights new to Fallingstar are caught off guard.
3 - the Moat
Formed from two canals that have been linked by the defenders digging trenches, the moat rises and falls with the tides throughout the day. It provides protection to the Old Market and Riverside sections of Fallingstar, proving to be a formidable obstacle even when drained, as the thick mud drowns those who attempt to cross it even without armour.
4 - Xocrian Route
The path from the south that Xocrians have taken to reach Fallingstar. While being closer to the water might help, the Serpent Delta is dominated by Moonvipers and would make them vulnerable to attack. Supplies and people have moved back and forth along this path for the past few weeks, and still do so now.
5 - The Fort
The large citadel that Discite and her warriors guard the end of the main road and the rest of Fallingstar from. Squat and formidable, inaccessible save to those who know the secrets of the town. Inside it is illuminated by candlestone lining the walls.
6 - Fallingstar Supply Storage
Each area of Fallingstar has its own supply caches, of course, but the main one is in an old warehouse in the Granary region. Food, weapons, and various other essentials are kept here and sent through the tunnels or flown to the other parts of the town as needed.
7 - Fallingstar Port
The old seaport of Fallingstar is still active and surprisingly safe. Supplies from Padwell, the Sundrakes, and supporters in the rest of the Land of Rivers arrives here, as well as those who travel through the Serpent Delta to get to the town.
8 - Old Market homes
The Old Market region of Fallingstar is named for the large market square that it occupies. The old shops and houses have been converted into housing for both old and new arrivals to the town to sleep in. Somewhat cramped in certain areas, but the body heat keeps it nice and warm.
9 - Riverside Hospital
The main hospital of Fallingstar. There are medics in all parts of the city, but those who are in need of more intense care are brought to Riverside, as it is the safest area of the city. Riverside Hospital is in an old warehouse, where patients can be kept in some comfort, and also serves as the main storage for Fallingstar's medical supplies.
10 - The Old Walls
The ancient, crumbled walls of Fallingstar; constructed centuries ago by Adeodatus' heirs. Its foundations go deep into the bedrock. The old walls were destroyed in a siege a long time ago, but are still an intimidating sight where they still stand. Made of black rock marbled with greys. Currently covered in heavy layers of ice and snow.
11 - Xocrian Armoury
An old stone farmstead currently being used to store armour and weapons, as well as a workshop for repairs to be made, in the Xocrian camp.
12 - Xocrian Supply Tent
A large tent where the knights keep their food and other essentials. Located as far back from Fallingstar as can be done; its location is hidden from the skies, and there are a number of decoy supply tents throughout the Xocrian camp. Each is well-guarded to avoid any mischief.
13 - Xocrian Medical Tents
A place for those wounded in the fighting in Fallingstar to rest and recover. Multiple tents, each for differing severities of injuries, well-supplied with medicine from the south.

Fallingstar
Discite's Stronghold
The largest area of still-inhabited Fallingstar; the center of all action in the former city and connected via underground tunnels to all other parts. Filled with barracks, training yards, armouries, and areas to plan and fortify. Home to the Fort, the large citadel that Discite and her warriors guard the end of the main road and the rest of Fallingstar from. Squat and formidable, inaccessible save to those who know the secrets of the town. Inside it is illuminated by candlestone lining the walls.
The Stronghold serves as an important place for warriors to move through the city from, and is well-defended and barricaded from both land and air assaults. Guards are constantly patrolling and pass through checkpoints every fifteen minutes; if they're late, foul play is immediately suspected and others go to check and make sure nothing has happened.

Old Market
One of the safer areas of Fallingstar, Old Market is where the majority of the populations' homes are. The region was named for the old marketplaces and courtyards that form it, with the surrounding houses and old stores used for shelters. Most of Fallingstar's civilian population lives here or in Riverside. While the moat usually makes it extremely difficult for knights to reach Old Market, there are still some attacks and guards here are always on the lookout for the next strike.
Similar to Stronghold, it is fortified with rubble sealed together with Moonviper venom, as well as wooden barricades patching up any other spaces. There are open courtyards for children to play, areas to dry laundry and do other basic daily tasks, as well as a small temple to the Moon Sisters that was built and carefully maintained by the town's Moonviper residents.

Granary
Formed from old grain storage buildings; large round chambers formed from stone. The main storage area for Fallingstar's supplies; every region of the town keeps enough to last a few weeks, but everything else is kept in Granary. Its location further back in the city's ruins makes attacks less common than those on Stronghold, but they still occur often. Those in charge of Granary keep a careful eye out for infiltration and any theft of necessities.
Riverside
Protected by an old canal converted into a moat, Riverside is the safest area in Fallingstar, home to the Riverside Hospital and Fallingstar Port. Mostly used by healers and non-combatants to keep them away from the worst of the fighting, but still guarded just in case. If the town were to fall, the rest of the city would make its way to Riverside in order to escape into the Serpent Delta or flee on the ships docked at the various piers.
Filled with old warehouses, a large, well-kept lighthouse, and seaside residences used to house visitors and medics between shifts at the hospital.

The TunnelsThe veins of Fallingstar; extremely dark, narrow tunnels that form a maze under the streets, allowing defenders to appear and disappear in different locations and escape from those they can't take on by themselves.
They are too small for any human or dragon over 6' without barely squeezing through, and unless one is very small, people must go single-file through the dark. The entrances are hidden and often guarded, and there are various areas for them to be collapsed to prevent any knights from making use of them if discovered. Sections of the tunnels are dug from the soil and others through the old stone foundations of the buildings on the streets above, with wooden and stone supports throughout for stability. |

The Xocrian Camp
Xocrian Camp
The gathered knight's camp in along the southern edge of the Old Wall, far from the Serpent Delta to avoid Moonviper strikes from the water. In the deep winter, the cold alone from being dragged below the ice would be deadly. A mix of old stone farmsteads converted into temporary housing and tents pitched onto cleared areas of ground. There are plenty of warm fires to keep away the chill and lots of excited knights, eager to prove themselves by taking down a dragon - or, hopefully - the legendary Discite.
Notable locations is the Xocrian Armoury, in an old stone building and the Medical Tents. There is a small sheltered stable for mounts; mostly horses, but some pegasi, wolfasai and hippogriffs as well.

The Supply Route
A long route through the southern Land of Rivers that leads back into Xocrium, where supplies and more Knights arrive from. Located far enough away from Fallingstar to be largely safe from attack, but those who walk it are still wary of attack from above.
