The following potions exist in the world of RoS but do not need to be purchased for your character, as they won’t have any effects in Story Mode. Anyone can say that their alchemist character knows these.
Potion of Power (T/XY) - a potion that causes the body to change towards more masculine features. Requires multiple doses over months for full effect, and may be ‘undone’ with the H/XX potion. Usually created in the form of cookies or small cakes.
Potion of Power (H/XX) - a potion that causes the body to change towards more feminine features. Requires multiple doses over months for full effect, and may be ‘undone’ with the T/XY potion. Usually created in the form of cookies or small cakes. Blacklight potion - a potion that emits UV light and works similarly to a blacklight. Produces light for about 3-6 days depending on how strong it is before becoming inert. Lantern potion - a potion that emits daylight and can be used as a light source. Produces light for about 3-6 days depending on how strong it is before becoming inert. Fluorescent potion - a potion that can be used as 'paint' that creates markings that only show up under UV light. Can be washed off with soap and water. Soundless potion - temporarily negates all sound that might come from the drinker. |
Weightless potion - temporarily decreases the physical weight of what it’s poured on. Does not affect the physical size of the person/object.
Tasteful brew - increases the potency of one's tastebuds. Farseeing brew - allows one to see across unnatural distances. Echoing brew - increases the distance/range of sounds that one can pick up on. Scent brew - bolster's the sense of smell. Rocket potion - extremely volatile potion that acts like rocket fuel. Hard to make but highly valued. Should be handled with care. Anti-infection potion - a potion used to prevent infection in injuries. Antibiotic potion - a potion used to fight bacterial infections. Can be applied onto a wound or drank/inhaled as a mist to deal with respiratory infections. Insulin potion - a potion used by people with diabetes. Relatively common and easy to make. |
Migraine potion - a potion that helps get rid of headaches. Should be taken after a headache starts, not before.
Anti-seizure potion - used to reduce the intensity/frequency of seizures. Meant to be taken on a weekly basis. Lactase potion - allows people with lactose intolerance to eat otherwise harmful foods. Must be taken within 24 hours of eating/drinking. Acne potion - a potion that helps remove/prevent acne. Unscarring potion - a potion that can be used to remove small, shallow scars or, when applied over longer periods of time, make more significant ones begin to fade. Hair growth potion - a potion that causes hair to grow longer. Should be applied only to the area where one wants the hair to grow; drinking it will cause all areas of body hair to lengthen. It only works on areas where hair can grow naturally; a creature without hair, like a stormherald, would be entirely unaffected. Genetics Potion - a potion that, when poured into two samples of blood, will glow brightly if the people in question have a recent shared relative. |
