The largest of the three strongholds and is the northernmost; home to the largest army in Hovell and is the most-fortified. Ruled by Ramona The Radiant, the people of Lux are in great hands. While known for her strength and her reinforcements to Lux’s growing military, she is also known to be one of the more compassionate warlords in Hovell and cares about the wellbeing of her territory. She proposed a new formal education system, new jobs for citizens, and overall has kept her streets as clean as they could possibly be.

Home to more than half of Lux’s military and the largest domesticated Manticore pride. The people here pride themselves on their skills in taming and riding manticores in and out of battle better than anyone else in the Realm.

A large outpost located near the border between Hovell and the territory of the Windwyrms. Before being destroyed by the Windwyrms themselves, there was a bridge that connected the two territory. Many Hovellians dared to cross the bridge and sometimes it was used as a form of exile, the latter due to the fact that anyone who crossed the bridge never returned.

Located in the middle of Hovell, Darkhaven is the wealthiest of Hovell’s city-states.

Usually lively at night, Shimmer overlooks the waters of lake Zela, named after the famous Empress Zela who was the last ruler of the empire of Hovell until the civil war destroyed much of the government for years.

City Name: Goldgarde, sometimes “Cowboytown”

Region: Darkhaven city-state
Once a great Elder Drake’s hoard, Goldgarde is the largest trading center and bank in Hovell.
Items taken from all over the Realm from the reaches of Dutoria to the island of the Fireworms can usually be bought and traded from here. While also being a trading center, Goldgarde also houses much of Hovell’s wealth in its very large central bank. While this is all well and dandy, Goldgarde is also known for one other thing: Ironbrook tech. Goldgarde is the one place in Hovell where things such as Runes actually has a presence. While much of it has been fished out of the Thundering Channel for years, a good few of Goldgarde’s citizens have been able to learn from it and create their own wacky inventions.
City-State of Idothea
The warmest of Hovell’s city-states, Idothea occupies the southern third of the country. They have the largest population of the city-states and are well-known for the quality of their cuisine.

The southernmost of the strongholds; known for being the most loved by the people of Hovell and their dragon-human spaces. Idothea’s (current) leaders find that using peace and compassion is what keeps people in line instead of fear, which is why they have the least amount of military and the largest population of the city-states.

One of Idothea’s greatest accomplishments; a smart hub for humans and dragons alike that is without much unpunished conflict. Hovellians, Shipwreckers, and even some springsingers come and enjoy the lively scene that Allure provides. Allure is said to have the best taverns, best food, and honestly the best people.

Many people know Alba to just be a small trading hub that is trying to compete with the likes of Goldgarde. Despite its catering to local goods and services, it cannot compete with the international trading routes of Goldgarde.
